Don’t judge life by one season

It’s important not to judge others in life and this short but inspiring video is about a father who wanted to teach his four sons this very lesson. He asked them to go on a quest and observe a pear tree far away.

The oldest son went in the winter, the second in the spring, the third in the summer and the youngest son in the fall.

After the quest was over, the father gathered all four sons together to discuss what they had seen. The oldest son said it was ugly and bent, the second son said it was promising with green buds, the third son disagreed and said it was the most beautiful thing in the world full of blossoms, and the youngest son said it was ripe, drooping with fruit and full of life.

The father said they were all correct in what they saw but they had only seen that tree in one season of its life and you can’t judge a tree or a person by one season in their life. It can only be measured at the end of their life when all the seasons are up.

If you give up when it’s winter, you will miss the promise of your spring, the beauty of your summer and the fulfillment of your fall. It’s important not to let the pain of one season affect the others and not to judge life by one season.

Dare to live courageously, love with all your heart, and care deeply and leave the rest to God.
